Managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department

Monitoring and analyzing accounting data and produce financial reports or statements

Establishing and enforcing proper accounting methods, policies and principles;

Responsibilities?

Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including:

1) month and end-year process

2) accounts payable/receivable

3) cash receipts

4) general ledger

5) payroll and utilities

6) treasury, budgeting

7) cash forecasting

8) revenue and expenditure variance analysis

9) capital assets reconciliations

10) trust account statement reconciliations,

11) check runs

12) fixed asset activity

13) debt activity

14) Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements

15) Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles

16) Coordinate and complete annual audits

17) Provide recommendations

18) Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions

19) Assign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy

20) Meet financial accounting objectives

21) Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions

22) ACCA Certificates and manage all company VAT returns and Corporate Taxes

23) Banking relations and bank account maintains adnd Bank documents compliance

24) Able to know VATs returns and Corporate Tax

Requirements and skills?

1) Proven working experience as Accounting Manager, Accounting Supervisor or Finance Manager in logistics and freight forwarding Company for more than 3-5 years;

2) Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases

3) Ability to manipulate large amounts of data

4) Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations

5) High attention to detail and accuracy

6) Ability to direct and supervise

7) BS degree in Accounting or Finance

8) ACCA Certificates and manage all company VAT returns and Corporate Taxes

9) Arabic Speaking its preferred

10) Finance system expert.
