Responsibilities:
Collect market intelligence on the Air and Sea Freight industry to explore new business opportunities, lucrative trade lanes, potential clients, credible business partners, etc.
Visit clients regularly and maintain effective relationships to understand their business needs and provide productive solutions.
Maintain CRM records to track, manage and follow up all business development activities.
Enhance the customer base by continuously onboarding new sub-agents or direct shippers.
Attend client inquiries/RFP and send proposals/quotations to the clients.
Negotiate the best buying rates from vendors and engage with airlines/shipping lines for the required cargo space.
Monitor the freight movement from origin to destination and provide timely updates to clients.
Communicate with external parties such as partner airlines/shipping lines, overseas agents, custom clearance teams, etc. to resolve operational issues.
Requirements:
Must have a Bachelor’s degree in any field.
Must have 3- 5 years of work experience.
Must have Sales experience in Freight Forwarding and Logistics.
