-Provide guidance and support on all commercial issues related to the projects.
-Ensure project monthly reports are accurate and delivered on time.
-Ensure payment applications and certification is submitted and obtained in accordance with the specific applicable contract terms.
-Take the lead with the preparation of Subcontracts, negotiate and agree on terms.
-Provide contractual and commercial advice to the project management team on all contractual and commercial issues.
Carry out tender reviews to identify risk and onerous conditions.
-Provide support in terms of the contract administration of major issues on projects.
-Take the lead in the preparation and submission of claims.
-Take the commercial lead in the negotiations and dealings with Contractor, Project Manager, Consultant and other vendors
-Provide assistance and support Head of Commercial as required.
-Any other reasonable duties as required.
Requirements:
Must have an excellent command of written and spoken English.
Be able to communicate upstream as well as downstream.
Be able to deal with Contractor, Project Manager, Consultants representatives.
Ability and drive to work under own incentive although equally adept at taking instruction when required to do so.
Ability to prioritize work and deliver on time.
Qualifications & experience:-
Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering.
Demonstrated level of exposure working with Contracting side with 10 -15 years of experience in, Construction, Real Estate projects in the UAE/ GCC region.
At least 3- 5 years as a Contracts/Commercial manager in a Contracting firm.
