Roles & responsibilities:

SQL DB Administration Tasks:
– Monitor Database performance, implement changes an apply new patches and versions when required writing disaster recovery plans
– Use high-speed transaction recovery techniques and back-up data
– Troubleshoot database downtime and manage parameters to provide fast query responses
– Build database systems of high availability and quality depending of each end users’ specialised role
– Define users and enable data distribution to the right user, in appropriate format and in a timely manner
– Provide proactive and reactive data management support and training to users
– Perform tests and evaluations regularly to ensure data security, privacy and integrity

IT Administration Tasks:
– Maintain information systems and networks, upgrade and install new hardware and software, and perform troubleshooting
– Monitoring and maintaining network and servers
– Upgrading, installing and configuring new hardware and software, to meet company objectives
– Implementing security protocols and procedures to prevent potential threats
– Creating using accounts and performing access control
– Performing diagnostic tests and debugging procedures to optimize computer systems
– Developing data retrieval and recovery procedures.
