JOB PURPOSE: Maintenance and Quality Assurance of Fiber Network inside Data Centers all over UAE. The activity involves preventive maintenance, quality inspection, cable dressing, restoring or replacing of fiber connectivity on a scheduled or non-scheduled maintenance as per the Service Levels. The Field Operation is available 24/7, 365 days in a year for ensuring the optimal conditions of fiber network.
• Dedicated Senior Optical Cabling Engineer with comprehensive Telecommunication experience expertise in Optical & Copper Structured Cabling system in OSP/ISP infrastructure, Fusion splicing, Termination, and Testing.
• Conduct quality inspection visits, and ensure compliance with Data Center standards.
• Technically manages to conduct trouble shooting and analyze Optical related issue outdoor and indoor using OTDR [Optical Time Domain Reflector meter] on all types.
• Enable to operate any handheld instrument such as Fusion Splicing, Power & Light meter. VFL [Virtual Fault Locator] and Termination Kit.
• Responsible for the site inspection and investigation in any case related to existing infrastructure
• Routine maintenance, securing and keeping all fiber infrastructure safe and out of risk at all time.
• Conduct cable arrangement activities
• Responsible for the Acceptance for devices / cabling activities inside Data Centers.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills
• Ability to present related cases and attend meetings with other departments.
