Your responsibilities during a day will include:

Welcome customers when they arrive at a cafe

Ensure all cafe operations functions are carried out in compliance with the company policy
Introduce customers to the menu and announce daily or seasonal menu specials
Answer questions about menu items, ingredients, and pricing
Responsible for promoting and maximizing food and beverage sales in the workstation that is assigned
Take customers’ orders for food and drink by writing them on a ticket, entering them into a tablet, or memorizing them
Pass customer orders along to kitchen staff for preparation
Prepare drinks and serve them to customers
Follow and ensure that the company food and beverage standards of service are being adhered
Collect food orders from the kitchen, verify that they are correct, and serve them to customers
Ensure that all products are served at the correct temperatures
Assist in ensuring that all food service being provided in the venue standards and within the time frame set by management
Provide prompt, attentive, and courteous service to every guest in the cafe
Remove used dishes, glasses, and flatware from tables
Recommend and suggest food and beverages when guests ask for assistance in selecting them
Maintain an attentive and proactive approach when it comes to offer a second round and ascertaining satisfaction with the product already served
Responsible for the correct and proper handling of all checks and sales transactions generated in the assigned workstation
Process cash and credit card payments and return change to customers if necessary
Responsible for helping to achieve the yearly goal for the venue scores in the guest comment cards
Set tables with dishes, glasses, and flatware and refills condiments
Ensure that workstation is properly set and prepared to meet the daily business demands
Report any issues, problems, complaints or service difficulties to the manager in a timely manner
Ensure that F&B promotions as defined by the company or management are respected and carried out in the café
Responsible for the proper use and maintenance of all associated equipment
Follow company guidelines regarding uniform and personal hygiene
Assist in additional duties as requested by the management.
