Reports directly to the store manager
Ensure that all stock of materials are maintained according to the training that will be received.
Ensure all coolers and freezers are organized and maintained as per the training.
Ensure proper stock rotation, and minimizing wastage.
Do day-end inventory of all items in the kitchen
Ensure all the kitchen and the equipment is clean and sanitized after every use
Must be able to prepare, pipe, decorate and bake pastries (Cakes, pies and western desserts)
At least 2 years professional baking experience (must include high volume, exposure to all facets of the field, i.e. cake decoration with piping and presentable end result of baked goods.
Working knowledge of bakery equipment has to include but not limited to mixers and convection oven.
Knowledge of weights and measures, various baking and preparation techniques, plus experience in all aspects of bakery operations.
Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Must be able to work independently, after undertaking training program.
This position will spend majority of the time standing, be able to work in a standing position for long periods.
Someone experienced in making Dessert goods (Cakes, pies, delicacies)
Must be able to follow recipes precisely, as well as taking direction from store manager.
Hygiene is extremely important when handling food
Ability to work at a fast pace, while maintaining high food quality standards
