MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
The 3D Artist / Visualiser will work directly with the Visual Communications Associate on the production of high quality atmospheric images and illustrations; collaborating with the graphic, architectural and competition teams to achieve evocative ‘painterly’ style visualisations to a presentation standard whilst working to fixed deadlines.
Producing Visualisations is the main element of the role but it also includes: 1. Illustrations
2. Photography and photomontage
Visualisations
— Produce high quality atmospheric visualisations for competition and client presentations
— Modelling 3D forms to a brief using appropriate software applications
— Rendering in 3D StudioMax and post-production in Photoshop
— Supporting architectural teams to produce visualisations for presentation Illustrations
— Produce outstanding 2D illustrations for competition and client presentations
Photography and photomontage
— Photographing physical 3D models for use in producing 2D visualisations
— Applying montages in Photoshop to photographed 3D forms
SKILLS Technical
— Proficiency in 3D StudioMax, Photoshop and VRay/Corona is essential
— Knowledge of Revit / Enscape / 3D Microstation desirable, but not essential
— Ability to understand and interpret architectural drawings, models and concepts
— Demonstrate the ability to achieve high quality outputs in a variety of media

Desired Skills & Experience
At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role in a creative environment; preferably with a graduate level qualification or equivalent A portfolio of high quality graphical work produced in a professional environment Experience within an architectural practice and advantage, but not essential An interest in art/architecture and an understanding of design principles is critical. Experience of photography, illustration or hand drawing is beneficial, but not essential. Experience of creating imagery with a pictorial sensibility is beneficial, but not essential. Demonstrate a keen eye for detail, composition and visual narrative Possess and communicate strong technical knowledge on the production of images and Illustrations.
