• Business development, revenue generation for service department
• Overall supervision of the department
• To be able to carry out project planning / execution and delivery on time
• Corresponding & arranging jobs with sub-contractors, suppliers etc.
• Carrying out works on board vessels eg. Fixed & portable gas detectors, fixed CO2 fire extinguishing system, fixed dry chemical system & fire alarm system etc.
• Inspect service and test Lifeboats, Rescue Craft, release hooks, davits, winches and ancillary recovery equipment, fall wires and hang off pendants.
• Perform diagnostics and repair of all types of marine engines and transmissions/drives/generators.
• Should perform/prepare paperwork and other documentation required (i.e. service reports, certificates, etc.)
• Ensure full compliance with all work performed to the required SOLAS and IMO Statutory requirements and as per Marine Equipment Directive.
• Responsible for ensuring tasks are conducted in a safe manner and in accordance with applicable company procedures.
• Participate in team initiatives whilst ensuring all tasks are completed on time.
• Ensure that allocated equipment, tools etc. are used in a safe and correct manner and not subject to misuse or abuse.
• Any other duties required for the efficient daily operation of the department.
• Should Work irregular hours when necessary.
