Responsibilities:
1. Help design products with engineering and manufacturing techniques
2. Add details to architectural plans from their knowledge of building techniques
3. Work from rough sketches and specifications created by engineers and architects
4. Specify dimensions, materials, and procedures for new products
5. Prepare multiple versions of designs for review by engineers and architects
6. Design plans using computer-aided design and drafting (CAD) software
7. Work under the supervision of engineers or architects
8. Draft and prepare layout drawings of the given structures, components and devices.
9. Produce draft designs and diagrams according to the given specifications
10. Assist and coordinate with designers and engineers.
11. Prepare drawings for sheet metal components.
12. Prepare drawings and diagrams for electrical devices and installations.
13. Collaborate with designers, constructors and engineers on projects.
14. Calculate dimensions and allowances with accurate precision
15. Compile data and specifications sheets.
16. Revise drawings and layouts to accommodate changes and enhancements.
17. Accommodate safety procedures and issues in installation and construction drawings.
