You will be involved with Installation, maintenance, repairs, servicing and troubleshooting Integrated Security systems at customer sites.
You will be expected to Plan, coordinate and oversees the installation and service of products.
The Role
• Installs, services, troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains security systems and networking at customer sites. Performs Installation and servicing of CCTV, Access control, intruder alarm systems and other security related products.
• Closes service calls via computer after ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Maintains parts inventory and requests equipment and supplies when necessary to maintain an inventory to ensure ample supplies available.
• Trains customers in the proper use of equipment installed and/or serviced.
• Keeps manager informed of pertinent account information or customer related problem resolution.
• Oversees and coordinates product installations and service calls and ensure timely, cost effective and accurate installations.
• Coordinates with administration & and other technical engineers for the purpose of completing projects/work orders efficiently.
• Trains and oversees sub-contractors on the job and creates proper documentation as required.
• Resolve difficult equipment problems on-site or via telephone as needed.
• Evaluates, diagnoses, troubleshoots systems and perform repairs as necessary.
• Responds to emergency situations during or after hours for the purpose of resolving immediate safety/security concerns.
• Provide maintenance on all systems when required and submit reports.
• Performs upgrades and additions to systems in order to increase functionality and usability.
• Transports a variety of items (e.g. tools, equipment, supplies, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring the availability of materials required at job site.
• Performs computer program entry as required to add closed circuit television cameras as needed.
• Provides detailed descriptions of technical problems to management.
• Attends meetings, workshops, training, and seminars for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform job functions.
• Other duties as required or assigned.
The Person
• Diploma or certificateHands on experience in the Installation and Maintenance of CCTV Cameras ( IP & Analogue), NVR’s, Access Control System, AV Systems, Intruder Alarm, Gate Barriers, Structured Cabling.
• Networking & PABX systems.Minimum 3-5 years experience in CCTV service and maintenance.
• Experience in installing and maintaining integrated security systems including structured cabling, networking etc.
• Good communication skills
• Service minded and customer oriented
• CCNA & MCSA certification is advantageous.
