A well-reputed government organisation in Dubai is looking out for System Engineer / Configuration management- Railway.

MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE IN RAILWAY INDUSTRY.

Experience:- 5 years in system engineering in specific experience in the following areas: Railway Electrical development, design, construction, maintenance and operation in a comparable public or private sector railway organisation
Designs, develops, and implements complete configuration management policies, plans, procedures and processes to support Rail assets, systems and operational software systems. Administers problem management process including monitoring and reporting on problem resolution. Establishes and executes configuration management solutions as required. Administers the Management of Chance and related control processes. Responsible for configuration management of requirements, design, and code. Evaluates and selects configuration management tools and standards. Ensures adequate product testing prior to implementation. Makes recommendations to superiors regarding the acquisition and/or implementation of software to increase information systems efficiency, configuration management activities including product identification, change control, status accounting, operation of the program support library, and development and monitoring of equipment/system acceptance plans. Monitors library structure and procedures to assure system integrity, including procedures for collection, release, production, test, and movement/migration of components. Implements configuration patterns and practices to allow for consistent deployment to each environment in an isolated rollback capable fashion. Provides expertise, direction, and ownership of configuration management policy and methodology. Initiates and manage Lifecycle Management tools from concept through implementation processes. Works with development teams to establish code versioning guidelines that provide prompt feedback to allow for timely adjustment and revalidation for Rail Operational Software Systems. Ensure that operational software products meet all prerequisites (ex: code review) before releasing software to various environments. Reviews and adjusts the procedures for deploying new assets and software releases in coordination with other stakeholders. Functions as the technical and liaison with release management planning, Configuration and Change Control Board (CCCB) communications, and oversight for best of breed build and delivery practices. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, statutory obligations and Rail Agency policy and the Electrical Network asset management plan. Participate in investigations, reviews, audits, briefs, and prepare technical investigation reports. Carry out assigned tasks and requests for assistance and support in compliance with Rail Agency objectives and all policies and procedures and documents. Participate in the development of systems, process and procedures in support of daily operations of Engineering Services.
