City of Port Alberni Employment Opportunity . Parks, Recreation and Heritage Recreation Programmer - Part-Time Position This is a part-time position (30 hours/week). The Recreation Programmer is involved in the development, planning, coordinating, and provision of a variety of recreation programs with the focus on children's programs, special events and related activities. The position requires extensive contact with the public and groups/organizations involved in community recreation. Applicants must have a current Class 4 BC Driver's License, completed a two-year Recreation Diploma program at a recognized college, preferably university graduation in Recreation Administration, and experience directly related to community recreation and special event planning with children and marketing/sponsorship experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience. The successful applicant will be required to complete a criminal record check.
