Sales and Marketing Manager

POSITION OVERVIEW:- Lead all Sales, Marketing and Business Development activities for a rapidly growing Oilfield Chemicals Manufacturer / Supplier. The Sales and Marketing Manager is accountable for the profitable achievement of sales objectives associated with the assigned market, segment, and sales team managed for the region of Middle East and Africa.  The SM is responsible for their assigned team’s sales productivity, and directs their effort in order to have the greatest overall impact on company results.  The SM manages all aspects of running an efficient sales team, including hiring, supervising, coaching, disciplining, and motivating direct-report sales associates.  Prior operational or sales experience within oilfield drilling chemicals industry is essential. As a sales Manager, you will have complete responsibility for all new and ongoing business development and product and service needs of oil drilling Chemicals customers located primarily in Middle East and Africa.  Prior operational or sales experience within the Drilling Fluids, Mud Chemicals and Specialty Drilling Chemicals industry is essential. Successful candidates should not only exhibit technical excellence, but be able to champion new ideas and technology both internally and externally. To do this effectively, the candidate needs to demonstrate high levels of leadership capability, strong verbal and written communication skills, a team-oriented focus, and an ability to find innovative technical solutions that best meet the needs of the customer, Strong working knowledge of the chemicals used in the Oil Drilling process such as:  Drilling Fluids, Mud Chemicals and Specialty Drilling Chemicals, Participate fully in the marketing and selling process. Develop marketing tools, customer presentation materials and detailed technical proposals for use by the sales team. Ability and maturity to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong competitive drive and clear track record of high achievement. Customer-centric demeanor with the ability to build and maintain long-term relationships.
Post graduate in any field 10+ years of Marketing, Account Management or Business Development experience within the Oilfield Services or Oilfield Drilling Chemical industry. Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Detail oriented with strong organizational skills. Must be competent with MS Office software/applications. The position requires extensive travel, therefore must have a valid driver’s license with good driving record.
