Our Tier 1 Civil Contracting client has a new requirement for a well experienced consultant Construction Logistics Manager to join their team in Dubai, to work on a new villas, mansions and residential project. Successful candidates will have a proven background as a Logistics Manager on large scale new build construction projects and have worked with recognised main contractors previously.
This role is available for immediate joining and is hiring on a permanent, direct hire basis, employed by our client
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement project-specific logistics strategies and plans to optimize the movement of resources.
Manage the flow of materials, tools, and heavy equipment, including monitoring inventory levels, procurement, and storage.
Work with suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of materials and resources to the construction site.
Coordinate the movement of people and equipment on-site and oversee site facilities management.
Monitor and adjust delivery schedules to meet construction timelines and identify and resolve lead-time constraints.
Manage budgets, analyze costs, and negotiate contracts with suppliers and vendors to ensure cost-effectiveness.
Develop and implement safety protocols and ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, codes, and standards.
Supervise logistics staff, collaborate with project managers and other team members, and maintain good stakeholder relationships.
Identify and resolve logistical challenges and delays proactively.
Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports on logistics activities
Requirements:
Construction Logistics Manager Experience:
A degree qualification in Engineering or any equivalent degree
Minimum 6-10 years of experience in Construction Logistics
Professional Memberships are an advantage but not essential (CIOB / CMILT).
Operational experience in large scale, busy construction projects and programs
Brings new ideas, approaches or insights to their work and suggests process improvements
Persuades and influences others successfully towards a desired course of action.
Demonstrates a good perspective and ability to explore innovative approaches in pursuit of a better way.
Utilises new technology and helps others to adapt.
Salary:
AED 22,000 to 30,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
