Accounts Payable Supervisor

The Accounts Payable Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the accounts payable section, ensuring accurate and timely processing of all invoices, payments, and financial records.

What will I be doing?

As Accounts Payable Supervisor, you will ensure the accuracy of stocks, accounts payable, prepayments, and creditor/accruals accounting records and provide periodic reports to the Finance Department. 

Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

Supervise Accounts Payable Team, she will lead, train, and manage a team of Accounts Payable clerks, ensuring they meet deadlines and maintain accuracy.
Review, verify, and approve invoices for payment. Ensure that they are properly coded, authorized, and processed in compliance with hotel policies.
Maintain strong relationships with vendors, resolve payment inquiries, and negotiate favorable payment terms when applicable.
Oversee the timely and accurate processing of payments (checks, ACH, credit card payments), ensuring adherence to payment terms.
Ensure that accounts payable transactions are accurately reflected in the general ledger and reconcile supplier accounts.
Assist in preparing reports and analysis related to accounts payable, cash flow, and other financial data for management.
Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and accounting standards. Identify opportunities for process improvements.
Support the finance team in month-end closing activities, including reconciling accounts and preparing necessary documentation for audits.
Assist in both internal and external audits by providing requested documentation and ensuring the accuracy of accounts payable records.
Continuously review accounts payable processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
What are we looking for?

An Accounts Payable Supervisor serving Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts is always working on behalf of our guests and working with other team members. To successfully fill this role, it would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CPA, AP certification) are a plus.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in an accounts payable role, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or leadership position. Hotel or hospitality industry experience is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes and financial accounting principles.
Proficient in accounting software, Microsoft Excel and Hilton Worldwide systems
Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with vendors and internal departments
