LIN SCAN is searching for the HSE Engineer who will be in charge with the design and implementation of the HSE Management System. The objective is to become more progressively effective in quality terms and in meeting both regulatory and accreditation requirements. The responsibility of HSE Engineer is to define HSE Standards for all systems and complying to the same; promote quality achievement and performance improvement of the entire organization.
Key Responsibilities & Authorities
Defining Policies & Strategies for HSE that are reported to the Top Management
Setting standards for health, safety and environment.
Defining competencies for HSE Department team members
Overseeing the performance of all aspects pertaining to HSE in Corporate Office and at site
Promoting the competency development of personnel in the scope of HSE
Approving procedures for the company manually & IT ERP
Designing and implementing all activities pertaining to HSE
Recommending Top Management the resources budgets (assets including people) for the Department
Training personnel in process areas including internal auditors (including HSE)
Approving all documents and records pertaining to HSE
Implementing all applicable HSE standards
Deciding on non-conformities along with Quality Team
Format & approval the effectiveness of the actions taken against the non-conformities
Identifying new concepts in HSE & implementing suitable ones
Monitoring the performance of internal auditors
Conducting all types of Quality/HSE audits within the Company along with Quality personnel
Developing and executing the HSE Plans
Skills/Experience:
University Degree in Engineering (Preferably Industrial / Mechanical / Electromechanical / Electrical)
Minimum 3 years of experience in HSE activities in Engineering Industry
International exposure
Experienced in Oil and Gas Industry
Certification for Lead Auditor ISO 45001, Nebosh HSE certification, NDT L2 as an option
Physical and Mental Requirements:
Lifting and Carrying: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Mobility: Must be able to walk and climb to perform duties, including maneuvering within a refinery or plant environment and accessing elevated platforms via ladders and stairwells.
Communication: Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing, or other communication capabilities, to communicate effectively.
Focus and Multitasking: Ability to maintain focus and multitask effectively.
Safety Equipment: Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection, if/where needed in manufacturing environments.
Personal Mobility and Reflexes: Sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes, with or without reasonable accommodations, to perform office duties and travel to off-site locations when necessary.
