Job Purpose:

Control daily operational activities of the Flight Operations and assist the Operations Management in supervising the workforce and coordinating with the clients, internal stakeholders and any other external stakeholders to ensure people, production and catering services are operated most efficiently and safely to ensure that the Customers receive the highest standards of service and product.

This jobholder operates within the framework of operational practices but needs to keep up to date on factors that could affect the current practices. Responsible for implementing safe working practices and procedures in accordance with EKFC policies. It is hence implied to comply with and practice EKFC Occupational Health and Safety Policy and procedures. Job holders should apply the Quality Policy and Quality System established by ISO 9001:2008 international standards and execute all responsibilities according to the department work procedures while reflecting EKFC Quality Policy.

Key Result Areas:

1.Ensure supervision of assigned staff by training, motivating and counselling to achieve the objectives agreed upon and provide the necessary guidance whenever required.

2.Liaise with the airline representative about catering uplift, pax figures and any additional service that may be requested on a flight-to-flight basis.

3.Prepare the catering order forms and forward them to all concerned sections.

4.Ensure that the loading / offloading procedures are followed as per the laid down policy of the airlines, company and airport security.

5.Carry out spot-checks at the operations section and on the ramp to ensure that food and equipment are provided as per the airline standards on schedule.

6.Check all the checklists and other relevant documents and make sure that they are completed and duly signed by all concerned before forwarding them to the Accounts Department.

7.Ensure all customers are provided with the best quality of service through cost-effective and efficient management, assuring continuous improvement of service delivery.

8.Demonstrated ability to identify and implement corrective actions arising from the incident investigation.

9.Responsible for implementing safe working practices and procedures in accordance with EKFC policies.

10.Comply with and ensure all relevant standards and regulatory requirements are met. Promptly carry out the required due diligence of incidents and escalate to management.

11.Monitor the daily resource allocation and escalate any significant variances to Management and Business Support. Ensure briefings and shift handovers are communicated to all relevant stakeholders.

Knowledge, Skills & Minimum Experience:

Education Qualification:

a) Diploma or equivalent qualification (Must have)

b) Certifications/Licensure related to Six Sigma, Logistics, or Supply Chain (Preferred)

Work Experience:

a) Years of Experience: 5 years

b) Area of Experience in Flight Operations, Food Packing or Logistics functions preferably in the Airline Catering Industry and/or Food Industry

c) 2 years of exposure in a supervisory capacity (preferred)

Skills:

a) Strong written, verbal, and communication skills

b) Ability to set priorities and assign work to the team

c) Ability to maintain records and prepare reports with strong attention to detail

d) Time and resource management skills

e) Good knowledge of MS Office applications and ERP systems

f) Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and at all levels and team-based approach including the ability to positively manage conflict

g) High level of commitment to continuous improvement and adaptability to change
