Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and efficient Assistant Stewarding Manager to join our team in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the Stewarding Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the stewarding department, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and organization in our establishment.
Assist in managing and coordinating the stewarding team's daily activities and schedules
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and sanitary environment
Oversee inventory management, including ordering supplies and equipment as needed
Conduct regular inspections of kitchen areas, storage facilities, and equipment to maintain cleanliness and functionality
Train and mentor stewarding staff on proper cleaning techniques, safety procedures, and company policies
Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and excellent guest experiences
Assist in developing and implementing cost-effective strategies to optimize resource utilization
Respond promptly to any issues or emergencies related to stewarding operations
Participate in the recruitment, performance evaluation, and professional development of stewarding staff
Maintain accurate records and prepare reports as required by management
Qualifications
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in stewarding or related hospitality roles
Previous supervisory or management experience in a hotel or restaurant setting
Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field (preferred)
Food Safety Certification (e.g., ServSafe)
Strong organizational and time management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in inventory management systems
In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations
Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
Fluency in English; Arabic language skills preferred
Thorough understanding of hospitality industry standards and best practices
Expertise in cleaning and sanitation procedures
Proficiency in inventory control and cost management techniques
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
Physical stamina to perform tasks that may involve lifting, standing for extended periods, and moving around the facility
