CORE PURPOSE OF THE JOB: To direct control and effectively manage a van sales operation of sales areas in his assigned territory to achieve the budgeted volume & margin of Poultry products by continuously monitoring and reviewing team performance.
ACADEMIC / PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION: College Diploma / Degree in Business Administration.
NON ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION: 28 years or older. Good verbal and written English skills. Highly numerate and analytical. Computer literate. Driving license.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: 3 years experience in FMCG business in a managerial position
COMPETENCIES: Knowledge of accounts interpretation. Proficient in team management. Experience in handling sales teams. Leadership skills. Good Communication and interpersonal skills. Assertive; time-management skills. Displays initiative; can work to targets and deadlines. Sound technical skills to set budgets by area, understand factors that affect margin. Able to analyse and interpret information. Good knowledge in identifying the training need of his subordinates.
Activities:
Directing Sales Supervisors by defining and communicating sales targets for each Sales Supervisor.
Giving feedback and gaining commitment to improve area performance by conducting improvement focused coaching sessions and attending sales session endorsement.
Ensuring that his sales areas operate cost effectively and yield maximum results by regularly reviewing route and area performance and the factors that drive cost effectiveness and sales performance.
Increasing sales turnover in his area by actively identifying and exploiting new business potential in the area.
Maintaining good customer relations by solving / helping Sales Supervisors to solve customer complaints promptly.
