Job Purpose

To carry out effective and efficient repair and maintenance of customer vehicles and tyre repair machines following approved manufacturers repair techniques

Job Requirements

Education/Certification and Continued Education

Diploma in Automotive Engineering
Industrial Technical Institute (ITI) certified Auto Technician Course
 
Years of Experience

3 to 5 years of experience as a Tyre technician

Essential Roles and Responsibilities

Functional Roles and Responsibilities

Collect job orders and to carry out all tyre related jobs using the specialized equipment
Service personal tools, equipment, keep work area clean and comply with health and safety standards.

Calibrate equipment periodically to ensure accuracy of results.

Periodically upgrade software and the data in the alignment machine as and when new model vehicles arrive.

Ensure accurate fault diagnosis and effective utilization of time allocated for the repairs.

 Report to the Team leader of any delays in repairs due to unavailability of parts and equipments.

 Keep the used tyre’s/ rims in the designated location and report to the Manager to dispose them periodically as per company policy.

Keep all personal tools safe. Any breakages or accidents must be reported to the Team Leader / Supervisor immediately.

Ensure efficiency and productivity is maintained above 100%.

To work extra hours in case the job needs to be completed to ensure customer satisfaction as per Team Leader’s requirement
