Key Responsibilities:
-Perform coding and abstracting of medical documents, including diagnostic and procedural information.
-Research, analyze, and assess data for company software needs.
-Audit clinical documentation to ensure accurate coding for reimbursement and regulatory compliance.
-Serve as a subject matter expert for coding staff, providing guidance and training.
-Identify and address documentation discrepancies, quality of care, and billing issues.
-Train, mentor, and assist in the professional development of coding staff.
Manage special projects and assist leadership as required.
Qualification & Skills
-3+ years of experience in medical coding.
-Strong skills in administration, reporting, and record-keeping.
-Proficient in Microsoft Office and coding software.
-Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality.
-Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Education
-Diploma or equivalent.
-If you're a motivated professional with a passion for healthcare and coding.
