Junior Accountant

Responsibilities:
Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions.
Perform regular account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
Maintain the accuracy of the general ledger.
Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Prepare documentation and support external audits.
Track project costs and prepare job cost reports.
Assist in evaluating project profitability and performance.
Prepare and file quarterly and annual tax returns.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
CPA certification required.
2-3 years of accounting experience in the construction industry.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
