Warehouse Supervisor

Responsibilities:
Supervisory Duties:
Lead and supervise warehouse staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation.
Delegate tasks and responsibilities to warehouse team members to ensure smooth workflow.
Foster a positive and productive work environment, promoting teamwork and cooperation among staff.
Inventory Management:
Oversee inventory control procedures, including receiving, storing, and issuing materials.
Conduct regular inventory counts and audits to maintain accuracy and prevent stock shortages.
Coordinate with purchasing and procurement teams to ensure adequate stock levels and timely replenishment.
Operational Efficiency:
Develop and implement efficient warehouse processes and procedures to optimize productivity.
Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
Collaborate with other departments, such as logistics and transportation, to streamline operations and meet customer demands.
Quality Control:
Implement quality assurance measures to ensure accuracy and integrity of products.
Conduct inspections of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify compliance with company standards and regulations.
Address any quality issues or discrepancies in a timely manner to prevent reoccurrence.
Safety and Compliance:
Enforce safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a secure working environment.
Conduct regular safety training sessions for warehouse staff and enforce adherence to safety regulations.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations governing warehouse operations and hazardous materials handling.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions, shipping/receiving activities, and personnel actions.
Generate reports on warehouse performance, including inventory levels, order fulfillment rates, and operational efficiency.
Provide regular updates to management on key metrics and performance indicators.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or related field preferred.
Proven experience in warehouse operations, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory role.
Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to warehouse operations.
Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions to improve efficiency and productivity.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
Forklift certification and other relevant certifications/licenses may be required.
Working Conditions:
The role typically operates in a warehouse environment, which may involve exposure to varying temperatures and physical demands.
May require occasional weekend or evening hours to accommodate operational needs.
