Service Line Information
You will provide debt advisory services, treasury advice, funding advice and general market analysis to clients, and will assist with other activities in the Corporate Finance practice as required including but not limited to debt structuring and issuance, trade finance, structured finance, complex re-financings, and restructuring and distressed M&A. Besides, the candidate is expected to assist or lead in advising distressed companies and debtors with turnaround planning, cash flow analysis and advise on cash forecasting and advise companies on restructuring alternatives, including review of debt options, and supporting negotiations with lenders.
Responsibilities:
– Be responsible for a portfolio of clients and be involved in a transaction from the inception stage to coordinating debt advisory activity to transaction closure
– Develop relationships with new and existing clients in order to expand the business
– Assist with proactive business development and deal initiation activities as well as prepare and present pitches to win new clients
– Lead and/or assist in the preparation of transaction documentation such as management presentations, business plans, project reports, feasibility reports and information memorandums.
– Prepare financial models and conduct financial analysis to support the proposed transaction structure
– Provide strategic insight and knowledge to shape the financial direction of a client business
– Provide analytical and market research information and supporting analysis (i.e., industry research, public market and precedent transaction research, etc.)
– Advise clients on wider fundraising activities
– Advise distressed companies and debtors with Turnaround Planning, Cash Flow Analysis, as well as on cash forecasting and preparation of corporate strategic plans
– Develop a financial restructuring plan along with financial projection for the future
– Lead and/or assist in the negotiation with banks or other financial institutions or private lenders for the proposed funding structure by presenting analysis, findings, and recommendations that demonstrate the merit of the transaction
– Conducting treasury advisory services for clients
Qualifications and Skills
Technical Experience & Soft Skills
– High proficiency in financial modeling techniques
– Impeccable understanding of financial statements, ratios, and concepts
– Strong fluency with Excel formulas and functions
– Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills and the ability to translate quantitative analysis to qualitative advice
– Excellent understanding of Excel, PowerPoint, Word etc.
– Ability to execute complex deliverables on a timely basis while managing competing priorities
– Focused with an attention to detail, strong organizational skills, prioritization and time-management skills
– Collaborative team player focused on collective success of the team, that can work independently with minimal supervision
– Clear, effective oral and written communication skills as well as positive and self-motivated person and can adapt with changing priorities
Work Experience
– Higher education degree in Banking & Finance, Accounting, Economics, or any related field combined with at least 2+ years’ experience in a similar role (bank, direct lending fund, debt advisory firm).
– Working towards or already have a professional qualification ACCA, ACA, CA or CFA.
