A workshop supervisor ensures vehicles are serviced, maintained and repaired to a high standard, and supervises and assists the technicians. They may contribute to supervising and training apprentices. This position may also be called the workshop foreman.
The workshop supervisor has the technical skills as for an automotive technician. 
Their responsibilities include managing the workflow, organising and supervising work, and computer diagnosis. They may also be involved in quoting for repair work and invoicing completed jobs. The workshop supervisor will have a strong technical background and excellent time management skills.
