NGO Specialist

This position is tasked with cultivating and expanding a local, regional and international network of Non-Governmental organizations that will collaborate and / or benefit from the organization's initiatives. It is also tasked with building the organization's community programs.  
Key Result Areas:
1. Develop and manage a network of key local, regional and international family NGOs that will benefit from the organization's outreach training and activities, including:
2. Research and analyze the needs of key local and regional family NGOs.
3. Propose creative ways of meeting those needs in the organization's initiatives.
4. Research and advise the President/Founder of the organization on opportunities to collaborate with local, regional and international NGOs in programs and activities that are aligned with the organization's mission and strategy.
5. Ensure the organization's NGO network and community partners are updated regularly about the organizations programs and activities.
6. Representing the organization in local, regional and international NGOs meetings as required.
7. Participate in the design and implementation of training programs and activities targeting NGO network.
8. Participate in the design of communication activities and dissemination packages targeting community and NGOs.
9. Assists the President/Founder of the organization in exploring opportunities to increase community involvement with the organization activities.
9. Assists the President/Founder to carry out structured meetings with the organization national partners (government organizations, non-government organizations and universities) to identify opportunities for internship, volunteers and other community initiatives.
10. Develops and implements a plan to engage volunteers from universities, local NGOs and the community programs and activities. These include;
a. Identify volunteering opportunities in collaboration with division directors.
b. Understand what the volunteers will do and how the program functions,
c. Understand and develop the resources needed for the program
d. Determine how the program will be structured:
e. Outline training that volunteers will need
f.  Determine policies and possible risks
g. Develop ideas for volunteer recognition
h. Determine how the program can be evaluated
11. Prepare reports, required, on internship and volunteer programs.
12. Prepare regular reports on status of cooperation with NGO network.
13. Provide information on the organization's NGO, volunteer and internship programs and activities for its website.  
Requirements
Bachelor Degree in a social service, business administration or other relevant field.
2. 5 – 10 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably at a Non-Governmental Organizations.
3. Ability to work in a multinational and multicultural environment.
4. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
5. Time management, presence of mind, ability to persuade and influence.
6. Fluency in English (both oral and written); Arabic is an asset.
7. Computer literacy: MS windows applications (word processing, excel, spreadsheets)
