Requirements of the Position:
Manages and controls the Financial management and accounting functions of Group Companies to achieve the most effective and efficient manner in which the financial resources can be best utilized. Ensures that financial records and accounts are maintained to recognized international standards and Law. Generates professional management information for use within all levels of the business. Provides the CEO with strategic financial information. Advises the CEO on the financial implications of current or proposed Company policy. Oversees the implementation of the Accounting and control framework for new overseas business projects. Manages all transactions relating to Import and Export Letters of credit. Manages the system of budgetary control and medium term business planning. Monitors the cash flow in order to ease staff and supplier payments Acts as Secretary to the Board of Directors and arranges for the smooth and efficient conduct of the meetings in line with the legal requirements. Interacts with Banks for credit facilities. Maintains relationships with banks at an efficient level. Manages short-term cash and routine accounting transactions to ensure that risk is minimized. Interacts with Insurance consultants on risk coverage to ensure proper risk coverage. Reviews Contracts/Agreements to ensure they are fair and balanced and protect the Company’s interests. Interacts with the External Auditors to ensure a successful implementation of the audit programme
Requirements
ONLY candidates who meet ALL following criteria need apply: Qualified Accountant with full membership of the appropriate professional institute (i.e. CA, ACMA, ACCA etc.)Minimum twelve (12) years relevant experience with at least 5 years international experience in a similar, senior position in a reputed company. Experience managing within a Group/Holding or multi-unit business structure. Experience drafting various types of contracts and agreements. Experience at Board of Directors level, whether as member or as secretary. ERP implementation experience. Financial planning for new business development, feasibility studies, or similar Preference will be given to European languages / Arabic speaking candidates meeting the above requirements may.
