Structural Estimation Engineers urgently required for a leading structural steel manufacturing company in UAE.
Job responsibilities and duties:
a) To co-ordinate and undertake the review of draft tender and project documents to assist in the preparation of technical and commercial bids for Company projects.
b) Preparation of Bills of Quantities and Bills of Materials Steel Structure from drawings.
 c) Sending enquiries for sub contracting and Evaluating offer from sub contractor and Sub contracting.
 d) Checking of in house detailed drawings with IFC drawings
 e) Cost Estimation (Fabrication, Painting, erection) and preparation of technical (review clients specification and analyze the methods of fabrication and calculate man-machine hrs and Material take off from drawing and specification for the materials) and commercial proposal against tenders received from various clients.
 f) Sending enquiries of various items.
 g) Prepare extra claim for additional/ variation works done.
 h) Interact with clients for techno - commercial aspects.
 i) Analyze and evaluate the scope of work after the receipt of P.O. from customer    
 j) Co-ordinate the preparation of tender documentation queries to consultants /clients to confirm and collect any missing data including; shipping costs, insurance, and any regional requirements.
 k) To prepare reports and supporting documents to submit to Proposal Coordinator to identify areas requiring more information to ensure the Company is positioned to win and secure bids.
 l) To co-ordinate and undertake the interpretation and review of system drawings to identify any difference to tender requirements and raise queries against specification
 m) Interpret and follow Company tendering processes and procedures to ensure all aspects of tenders are met including relevant discipline codes and standards.
 n) To co-ordinate and undertake the preparation of specification documents to submit to vendors for quotations of cost/price of materials and equipment and evaluate same against tender specifications to include in final tender documentation.
 o) To build relationships and liaise with internal customers and external suppliers and vendors and manage daily correspondence for quantities, costs and specifications.  
Requirements
•    Should have Degree in Mechanical / Civil Engineering
•    Should have at least 5 years experience in Estimation/Tendering in Steel Structure / PEB
•    Should have work experience in Project management, material costing and purchasing, tendering and specification for projects in related Industrial Sectors.
•    Possess good communication and interpersonal skills. Preferably knowledgeable with PC applications, preparation of reports and records, data analysis, tender review, drawing interpretation and sketches.
•    Experienced in materials costs and quantities, project management and supervision.
