Roles & Responsibilities:
- Assist plant manager and other plant employees in the prefabrication of wall, roof and floor panels for high performance buildings. Work performed will include but not be limited to cutting and preparation of wood, panel construction, insulation application, timberwork, siding application, cleaning and tool maintenance;
- Assist in the preparation and loading of the panels for shipment;
- Assist in the installation of heavy timber and panel packages.
- General plant maintenance and clean-up.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Journeyman Ticket for construction;
- Capable of reading and interpreting blueprints, shop drawings and specifications.
- Ideal candidate would have experience with heavy timber preparation and installation and / or panelized wood construction.
- Competent working with standard construction tools including experience around cranes, forklifts and scissor lifts.
- Attention to detail and the ability to problem solve.
- Able to handle timeline pressures and work independently.
