Job Title: Accounts Assistant
Reporting to: Head of Finance
Overview: Assisting the Head of Finance in preparing the accounts.
Responsibilities:
Receiving and processing invoices for payment
Receiving and processing employee expense forms
Generating invoices for payment
Credit control – chasing up debtors
Processing refund requests
Processing credit note requests
Performing cash up
Preparing monthly reports on the above
Reconciling control accounts
Assist in maintaining accounting records where appropriate
Assist with budgeting and variance analysis where appropriate
General tasks:
Ensuring that company employee-related policies are legally compliant with the local law, and to keep up to date with any changes in local law.
Obtaining and providing information as requested by the Finance Manager and other members of the Senior Management team.
General office support – answering telephones when other staff are unavailable
Assistance with and attendance at Hamilton Aquatics events as requested. All other duties related to the role.

Due to the rapid growth of the company we are now seeking a dynamic accounts assistant to help with the finance function under the guidance of the Head of Finance. An experienced accounts assistant, you will ensure that the Finance Department has excellent support, enabling them to focus on business development and management issues. You will have the multi-tasking ability and flexibility to work in this dynamic and ever-evolving environment, and will work well under pressure to meet tight deadlines. Duties include: Accounts payable Accounts receivable Cash flow management Reconciling accounts Accurate and timely reporting Budget preparation Experience and qualifications required: At least 2 years’ experience as an accounts assistant Exceptional computer literacy in Microsoft Office Highly developed organisational skills Initiative An ability to work under pressure and respond quickly to requests Outstanding verbal and written communication skills in English Loyalty and a high level of confidentiality Knowledge of QuickBooks would be an advantage Experience of working for a company in the service industry would be an advantage If you meet our essential criteria and are looking for a role in a productive team where you can make a real difference,
