Barista / Bartender

Job Description:
A barista bartender is responsible for preparing and serving a wide range of beverages, including coffee and espresso-based drinks as well as alcoholic beverages like cocktails and beer. This role requires a combination of barista and bartending skills, along with excellent customer service and multitasking abilities.

Responsibilities:

Beverage Preparation: Skillfully prepare a variety of coffee and espresso-based drinks, including lattes, cappuccinos, and specialty coffee beverages, following established recipes and standards.

Alcoholic Beverage Service: Mix and serve alcoholic beverages, cocktails, and beer to customers, adhering to responsible service guidelines and age restrictions.

Customer Service: Provide friendly and attentive customer service, taking orders, answering questions, and ensuring customers have an enjoyable experience.

Menu Knowledge: Have a thorough understanding of the menu, including coffee and cocktail offerings, and be able to make recommendations to customers.

Ingredient Handling: Handle and maintain inventory of coffee beans, alcohol, mixers, and garnishes, ensuring freshness and quality.

Equipment Maintenance: Operate, clean, and maintain coffee machines, espresso machines, grinders, and bar equipment to ensure proper functionality and hygiene.

Cash Handling: Accurately process payments, handle cash, and maintain cash registers or POS systems.

Cleaning and Sanitizing: Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including cleaning coffee machines, countertops, and bar tools, as well as disposing of waste properly.

Compliance: Follow all health and safety regulations, as well as alcohol service laws and policies.

Upselling: Encourage upselling by suggesting add-ons or recommending specialty beverages.

Qualifications:

Previous experience as a barista and bartender is preferred.
Knowledge of coffee brewing methods and latte art skills.
Familiarity with a wide range of alcoholic beverages and cocktail preparation.
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask efficiently during busy periods.
Strong communication skills and a friendly demeanor.
Attention to detail in both coffee and cocktail preparation.
Knowledge of sanitation and safety guidelines.
Ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
