Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Helper to join our culinary team. As a Kitchen Helper, you will play a vital role in supporting our kitchen operations by assisting with food preparation, cleaning, and maintaining a smooth workflow. Your attention to detail, willingness to learn, and teamwork will contribute to the success of our kitchen.

Responsibilities:
Assist in food preparation, including chopping, peeling, and portioning ingredients.
Support the cooks and chefs in various cooking and plating tasks.
Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies and ingredients.
Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas.
Wash dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchen items as needed.
Empty trash and recycling bins and ensure proper waste disposal.
Assist in receiving and storing deliveries, verifying quantity and quality.
Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen.
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace.
Assist in restocking inventory and rotating food items.
Assist with basic kitchen tasks and duties as directed by the kitchen manager.

Qualifications:
Previous experience as a Kitchen Helper or in a similar role is preferred but not required.
Willingness to learn and take direction from senior kitchen staff.
Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and hygiene.
Physical ability to stand, lift, and perform repetitive tasks.
Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Basic understanding of kitchen equipment and utensils.
Food handler’s certification is a plus.
