Projects Manager

1- Plan, implement and ensure that assigned detailed engineering design or construction supervision services for the project are delivered and completed within the allocated budgets and schedule and monitor material procurement activities for the project.

2- Study and acquire a deep understanding of assigned project(s)’ contract requirements especially in terms of schedule, deliverables and finances.

3- For each assigned engineering design or construction supervision project, craft a Project Management Plan (PMP) that is responsive to the requirements of the respective contract, is in line with TerraVerde and the Main Contractor existing project management systems in safety, quality and project controls.

4- Further detailing of the PMP into a more comprehensive Project Implementation Plan (PIP) identifying specific procedures that will address the peculiarities of a given project. Formulate a Design Management Plan, employing innovative new engineering methods/techniques/ technologies as applicable. Proactively implement these Plans in the course of delivery of the project.

5- Build and lead a coherent and coordinated engineering design or construction supervision project team(s) with well delineated responsibilities, lines of authority and interaction, well identified personnel outputs and defined deliverables, schedules and goals. Supervise/oversee project team performance to ensure said goals are achieved. Provide technical advice to team members on topics involving irrigation, landscaping, sub-surface, sewer lines, as required, boosting their capability in handling the tasks assigned to them.

6- Promulgate safety within the project team(s) in accordance with the safety objectives of the company and the main contractor.

7- Familiarize the project team(s) with the TerraVerde quality management system, QA/QC & HSE and the procedures required to deliver quality services and design products. Schedule intra-discipline reviews, inter-discipline reviews or peer-technical reviews as required. Coordinate with the corporate quality management team in scheduling internal project QA audits and implement audit outcome.

8- Effectively close-out project(s), ensuring all contract deliverables are handed-over, necessary records are in-place and financial aspects are settled. Prepare a project close-out report as required including all the lessons learned essential for continuous improvement of TerraVerde internal procedures and practices in project engagements.

Skills:
Candidates should have 5 to 7 years’ experience in a Contracting Company in the UAE or the Gulf region. A valid UAE Driving License is a must, excellent interpersonal skills and outstanding communication in both written and English is a must.

Education:
Civil Engineering.

Preferably Arab / Arabic Speaker.
