We are looking for a young, aggressive Purchasing Assistant for building materials trading or construction Company.
Purchasing Assistant responsibilities include researching new vendors, adding new items to existing product base, tracking orders and updating order records. We are looking for a candidate who are willing to work aggressively and desire growth
1 or 2 years’ experience in purchasing assistant role
Research potential vendors
Research new products
Communicate with suppliers, and relevant internal departments
Update internal databases with order details (quantities, price, etc)
Monitor stock levels and identify purchasing needs
Track orders and ensure timely loading
Maintain updated master records
Follow up with suppliers, as needed, to confirm or change orders
Liaise with warehouse staff to ensure all products arrive in good condition
Collect product feedback from sales team, customers and warehouse staff
Monitor shipments and documents (Bill of Lading, Invoice, PL, COO etc)
Work experience as a Purchasing Assistant or similar role
Advanced knowledge of MS Excel
Good understanding of supply chain procedures, Inventory, storage and sales
Knowledge of market research, online search,
Communicate clearly and effectively.
