Business Development Manager – Warehouse & Logistics Industry (5-10 yrs.)

Job Description

– The person should have at-least 10+years of sales / BD experience in Warehousing, cold storages and 3rd Party Logistics.

– Adept at Preparing & executing business plans and achieve targets indicated / agreed

– Be able to lead and manage a team of 2-3 staff in the BD team and collectively achieve the targets.

– Must have clear and holistic approach towards conducting industry research to identify opportunities for new client acquisition from obscure information.

– Should have close and updated market information in the relevant industry, and understand the emerging needs of prospective clients.

– Should have an excellent C suite network in the industry requiring warehousing and cold storage facilities in India

– Carry Market Research and based on it recommend locations for the warehouses which the management will consider basis the surely of the business and overall revenue plan.

– Should be able to build & drive P&L – Experienced in sales and business & detailed financial planning

– Should be astute with financial matrices such as but not limited to, Financial Planning & Analysis IRR, Break Even etc.

– Develop both short- term and long-term new business and revenue generation opportunities.

– Willingness / flexibility for travel within India and overseas.

– Excellent communication skills with the ability to gel well with local markets

– Should have an eye for detail while building contracts, keep in min. the market and contractual risks.

Must Have:

– Education: Full Time (Graduate); Post Graduation in sales & marketing – preferred

– Must also have a basic degree or detailed understanding of financials.

– Commercially astute and a negotiator

– Location: UAE

– Experience: 5-10 years

Must have demonstrated in past employment:

a) Market understanding

b) Revenue generation.
