Laboratory Helper

Years of Experience: 1 to 2 years

Nationality: Sri lankan/Pakistani/Filipino’s Preferred

Roles & Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will perform various tasks to support the laboratory technical staff in lab testing, send outs and the maintenance of quality assurance records. We encourage all qualified candidates to apply.

• Receive and process samples to identify suitability
• Prepare samples for testing using various types of laboratory equipment
• Prepare and maintain accurate laboratory records
• Label specimens accurately and distribute them to the appropriate department
• Perform quality control as directed by the Laboratory Manager
• Clean and maintain work area and all lab equipment and supplies
• Checking and inspecting goods received and ensuring they are of accurate quantity, type, especially expiration date for the goods and acceptable quality
• Accurately updating all data into computer and manual recording systems and must be Computer literate EXCEL, WORD applications

Qualification & Essential Skills:

• High school diploma/GED required
• Ability to organize and prioritize work for timely completion
• Effective communication skills, both verbally and in writing
• Able to easily understand complex instructions
• Able and willing to maintain strict level of confidentiality regarding laboratory results and records.
• Excellent computer skills.
