Other projects can include title and post-production work, as well as multimedia campaigns, promotion products, technical illustrations and computer artwork for use in a variety of materials. Motion Graphic Designers are an integral part of most every stage in the creative process, from conceptualization to storyboard and editing. Important is the understanding of various computer programs to create two-dimensional and three-dimensional animated objects. As such, they may have interactions with higher-level staff and clients, under supervision. A degree in graphic design is often required to be considered and need to have a portfolio of proven experience and/or professional certificates from multimedia programs.A college degree in multimedia design or equivalent and some prior experience in multimedia design are a must for a 3D designer job. Excellent knowledge of 3D software applications such as Maya 8, Mental Ray, and Adobe CS 3 Photoshop is a must. Proficiency in Adobe CS 3 Illustrator, Adobe Acrobat, After Effects, Premiere, and Adobe Flash is a plus.
