Safety Officer

A leading architectural consulting firm is looking to hire an Safety Officer with the below roles and responsibilities
•Develop, implement and monitor HSE Policy, Programs and Procedures
•Establish budget proposals for the operation of HSE and training programs.
•To increase health and safety awareness at all levels of organization
•Investigate and report all serious/critical personal injury / accidents at sites to the staff, visitors and senior official along with the property damage.
•Respond to employees’ safety concerns and conduct necessary safety inspection, respond to fire and other emergencies.
•Coordinate removal of hazardous waste from the premises
•To arrange for Occupational Health and Safety testing / evaluations of the workplace either internally / externally as required.
•Coordinate in training of personnel in the areas of first aid, safety, accident prevention and investigation, work place inspections etc.,
•Develop, review and update appropriate section of Emergency Procedures Manual.
•Liaise with the government authorities, fire department and others if required.
•To ensure that necessary inspection of fire extinguishers, exit lights, hose reels, emergency lights are carried out regularly along with servicing.
•Maintain necessary Accident Register and update regularly
•To ensure mandatory agreements are entered with the company and the supplier.
•To ensure that all employees are inducted prior to the start of the work
•To compile a fall protection plan to avoid any accidents / damages
•To prepare the site emergency evacuation plan and ensure all supervisors and contractors are supplied with a copy of the plan.
•To ensure that accidents are limited to minimal or accident free
•To develop and maintain HSE policy & procedures with documentation
•Maintain Accident Register regularly

•Ability to process information quickly
•Meticulous and organized
•Good Communication and interpersonal Skills
•3-5 years UAE experience in a reputed organization
•Should hold valid attested IOSH and NEBOSH Certification
•Other Certifications an added advantage
•Thorough knowledge on First Aid and other Procedures in case of any emergency.
