Responsible for (1) Estimate material requirements and costs, and present design to client for approval, (2) working to a brief, which details what the space will be used for, and finding out the client´s personal ideas and requirements, (3) inspecting and surveying site locations, (4) negotiating fees, (5) setting schedules for the project, (6) carrying out research, to make sure that plans are technically feasible (7) producing rough sketches - a collection of suitable images, colours and materials, (8) developing detailed designs, (9) choosing the most appropriate materials for the design and budget, (10) advising clients on progress, and providing them with samples of paints and fabrics to be used, (11) supervising the work as it is carried out.
