Duties and Responsibilities as Safety Officer
• Inspects the site to ensure it is a hazard-free environment.
• Verifies that all tools and equipment are adequate and safe for use.
• Promotes safe practices at the job site.
• Enforces safety guidelines.
• Trains and carries out drills and exercises on how to manage emergency situations.
• Conducts investigations of all accidents and near-misses.

• Monitored working of facility and checked that all health and safety regulations were followed.
• Advising on occupational health and safety problems or obtaining advice on unfamiliar problems from Occupational Health and Safety or other sources.
• Investigating and reporting on all incidents, injuries and occupational health problems and notifying Occupational Health and Safety of incidents and hazards in line with reporting requirements.
• Prepares written recommendations of elimination of unsafe acts or hazardous conditions to comply with applicable laws.
• Inspect safety procedures in working at elevated area.
• Performing site inspection in compliance with company’s safety, health and environmental system as well as Health Act and Workplace Safety and Environmental Public Health Regulations.
• Conducting investigation in the event of accident, near miss, dangerous occurrences or occupational diseases.
• Helping team members of project in identifying and conducting risk assessments.
• Keeping and maintaining the HSE records and reporting.
• Conducted safety meetings, site safety audit / inspection on daily basis. Reported to relevant authorizes in case of incident or accident.
• Implements and evaluates the effectiveness of components of the accident prevention and environmental health and safety compliance.
• Conducts site safety audits of work methods for improper procedures, checks equipment and facilities for hazardous conditions and recommends corrective measures.
• Assisting in promoting occupational health and safety awareness.
• Take appropriate actions to mitigate or eliminate unsafe condition, operation or hazard.
• Makes recommendations for environmental health and safety compliance training programs.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time.
