Structural Engineer

A leading architectural firm is looking to hire a Structural engineer with the below mentioned roles and responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
•Reviews contract documents, designs and drawings brief for Design-Build Projects and highlights any deficiency in consultant proposal.
•Prepares structural design for RCC (Reinforcement Cement Concrete) & Steel Building. For structural design using the related structural software.
•Coordinates Projects drawings for Structural / Architectural / MEP disciplines and highlights discrepancies to the concerned departments.
•Prepares and follows-up on submittals to clients, consultants, local authorities and contractors until getting final approval.
•Reviews Sub-Contractors’/ Suppliers’ Shop Drawings and coordinate to receive the final drawings and documents.
•Adding details required for construction based on drawings and specifications.
•Following and checking preparation of the Project’s structural shop drawing – Makes site visits and inspections as required by the operations.
•Attends meetings with the clients, subcontractors and suppliers.
•Maintains project’s codes, software, reports and all related documents.
•Performs any other duty as assigned by Manager
•Improve the structural design (RCC / Steel) and library supported by standard systems.
•Improve the structural drafting works and drawings production. Preparing reports, designs and structural drawings
•Calculating loads and stresses
• Selecting suitable construction materials; bearing in mind cost and quality
•Providing technical advice to CAD designers/draftsmen
•Providing regular reports on progress to the Project Manager
•Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering / Structural Engineering
•Have at least worked in Estimation for at least 5 years in structural design .
•Knowledge of Structural engineering design and drafting
• Good communication English-verbal and written
•Detail oriented, team player and analytical.
