Operations Manager

Urgently required an experienced Operations Manager for a reputable company engaged in the business of facilities management (Soft Services).
The jobholder will be responsible in planning, controlling and managing daily operations, also in contracts and bidding for the projects and optimum use of material and human resources to the projects. He will also be responsible for the training of the staff.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for the management of services and processes that support the core business of the company.
Effectively and efficiently assist in business development and acquiring new contracts.
Prepare contracts and proposals for the bidding.
Responsible for meeting client obligations.
Handle client relationship with representative of client companies
To control the project budget by preparing full project facilities management plan and cost study.
To review, check and sanction monthly material and manpower requisition for the project.
To interact with clients/customers.
Review site operation process and delivery
Support the direct recruitments induction, training and motivation of employees on site
Manage together with HR team manpower level and handle recruitment and selection of staff
Ensure full adherence to company policies and procedures.
Conduct period inspection and evaluate site performance
Verify monthly records for billing purposes
Attend and participate in operational meetings
Handle scheduling of staff based on operation needs
Deal with all staff performance, disciplinary issues in line with company procedures.
Carry out Health & Safety Audits
Prepare and present reports
Review client site operations and impacts on performance and productivity against contract specification
Review cleaning materials, consumables and site equipment control and management
Identify areas of improvement in relation to productivity.
Improvement in allocation of hours and any other areas that effect performance against specification.
Prepare and present reports
Communicate with Managing Director thrice a week.
Occasional travel within the country between sites as required.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Experience/Skills:
Bachelor’s Degree, FMP (Facility Management Professional) or PMP (Project Management Professional) an advantage
Must have 5-10 years experience in Soft Services (Cleaning, Pest Control, Indoor Plantation, Landscaping etc.)
Excellent English communication skills
Should hold a valid UAE Driving License
Proficient in MS Office: Word, Outlook, Excel, Powerpoint
Strong administration, organizational and time management skill
Independent and has ability to work well in a fast growing organization
Team player with attention to details and strong leadership skills
Able to multi-task
Must have Health & Safety awareness
Experience in managing cleaners and/or landscape workers
Should be available in UAE.
