We are expanding our team & company, so we are looking for a tile-mason.
Job descriptions:
– Cut and shape tile to fit around obstacles and into odd spaces and corners, using hand and power cutting tools.
– Lay and set mosaic tiles to create decorative wall, mural, and floor designs.
– Prepare cost and labor estimates, based on calculations of time and materials needed for project.
– Cut, surface, polish, and install marble and granite or install pre-cast terrazzo, granite or marble units.
– Mix and apply mortar or cement to edges and ends of drain tiles to seal halves and joints.
– Fabricates, alters, repairs, and maintains walls, sidewalks, street curbs, floors, bathroom showers, sink counters, partitions, manholes, and other related structures or surfaces.
– Lays blocks or bricks following blueprints, plans, or drawings.
– Determines work requirements and sequence of masonry/tile assignments through review of work orders, plans, or drawings.
– Lays out work using chalk lines, plumb bobs, tapes, squares, and levels.
– Mixes cement using hoes, cement-mixing equipment, and/or hand tools.
– Estimates materials and labor.
