Prepare monthly internal financial statements, including a balance sheet, income statement, cash flows statement and various reporting requests from Corporate.
Complete quarterly and annual reporting package to Corporate (consolidation and disclosure requirements for 20F filing).
Manages the fixed asset accounting process, responsible for fixed asset capitalization, depreciation, depletion and amortization, and account analysis, ensuring accurate accounting records are in accordance with IFRS guidelines.
Control and reconcile the Company’s intercompany accounts working with Corporate to ensure proper elimination.
Participate in the monthly/annual financial close process; including review of journal entries, preparation of capital accruals for exploratory and development projects, account analysis and others functions as instructed.
With Financial and Accounting Lead, act as liaison for external auditors in audit timing, PBCs, and issue resolution.
Participate in continued SAP/Hyperion training (Houston and Bogota) and implementation of those updates/changes to USA system and procedures/processes.
It is observed that some people start their job from lower ranks and remain in lower ranks for the long period of time while others start their job in lower ranks and use that low rank as their launching pad and start flying in a very short time. Try to show your worth to higher authorities: After getting good qualification and knowing the technical aspects of your job, it is good idea to give a good presentation to higher authorities so that you could get entered your name in the good book of higher authorities. In this way you could get the big boost in the promotion.
