All commercial activity directly related to group projects, which shall include; pre-contract (Tender stage), awarded contracts and wrap up of completed contracts. To ensure efficiency in areas of: pricing, cost control, cash flow and value recognition. Maintain tender process to ensure commercial adequacy of submitted bids. Provide commercial analysis of contractual terms and conditions prior to final submission of Tender with a detailed risk overview report for sign off of management. Ensure wording of specimen bonds, guarantees and warranties in Tender Documents are acceptable. Create Risk and Opportunity register for specific Tenders. Review and Improve and maintain commercial procedures for project management. Review and Improve Project Handover procedure for internal implementation on award of contract. Review the Value recognition Policy agreed by key stake holders and external auditors and improve where necessary. Develop and implement a standard Cost Value Reconciliation procedure and train all commercial members of the team on policy and procedures. Review all Contract Budgets and regularize standard format. Develop and maintain Standard Cost Codes for allocation of project cost against budget. Review interface with accounts department to ensure project accruals and provisions are reported consistently. Review and enhance procedure for allocation of petty cash on specific projects. Work with Procurement Dept. to set up credit facilities with regular suppliers. Create and maintain a library of Standard Forms of Contract (FIDIC etc). Review templates for terms and conditions for project specific Standard Sub Contract Agreements, including; labour only/supply and install/services provider etc. Review format for Frame Work Agreements for implementation with preferred suppliers subcontractors where possible.
 
Directly negotiate with sub-contractors to finalize all terms and conditions, where no frame work agreements exist. Champion any legal Mediation and or Arbitration process on any projects. Develop a standard vendor assessment and approval procedure/ policy for the group and roll out across all new entities. Submit monthly project commercial reports for inclusion in group monthly management reports.
Requirements
Must have 5 years UAE experience in both pre and post contract roles and responsibilities. Must be fully proficient in preparation of variations, claims, monthly CVR’s, budgeting projects and all post contract commercial functions. Must have previous experience with Client interface.
