Cashier / Waiter

Itemizes and totals purchases by recording prices, departments, taxable and nontaxable items; operating a cash register. Enters price changes by referring to price sheets and special sale bulletins (Sapaad).Discounts purchases by redeeming coupons, etc. Collects payments by accepting cash, check, or charge payments from customers; making change for cash customers. Verifies credit acceptance by reviewing and recording customer’s personal information; operating credit card authorization system. Balances cash drawer by counting cash at beginning and end of work shift. Help other areas of the restaurant such as answering telephones and completing financial transactions. Provides pricing information by answering customer’s inquiry. Take Order as needed. Maintains checkout operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes. Print closing report and drop the cash with the front office / accounts department. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Waiter / Waitresses
Greets guests and presents them with the menu. Informs guests about the special items for the day and menu changes if any. Suggest food and beverages to the guest and also try to up sell. Take food and beverage orders from the guest on the order taking pads or on the handheld Point of sale (POS) system. Obtaining revenues, issuing receipts, accepting payments, returning the change. Performing basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by supervisor. Punch the order on the POS machine and make sure to enter the special requirements made by the guest while ordering the food. Communicate to the guest and provide assistance with their queries. Co-ordinate with the bus person, bar staff to ensure smooth operation and guest satisfaction. Serve food and beverage to the guest as per the order. Observes guests and ensure their satisfaction with the food and service. Promptly respond to guest with any additional request. Maintaining proper dining experience, delivering items, fulfilling customer needs, offering desserts and drinks, removing courses, replenishing utensils, refilling glasses. Adhere to grooming and appearance standards consistently. Understands and can communicate products and services available at the coffee shop. Assist bus persons with stocking and maintaining the restaurant stock levels and side station.

Resume Keyword Practices to Avoid
We’ve established that using resume keywords throughout your application boosts your chances of a human hiring manager seeing it.
However, be careful not to overdo it.
Packing your resume full of keywords is almost as bad as not including any at all.
Don’t forget that a real person will (hopefully) see your resume at some point. So use natural language that engages that person.
Tip
Make sure you balance hard skills vs soft skills on your resume to show you’re a rounded candidate.
Otherwise, they’ll think you’re either a bad writer — which indicates your communication skills aren’t good — or assume you’re trying to beat the ATS, making you seem dishonest.

 

Dishonest Keywords
It’s tempting to simply include all of the keywords you see in a job posting on your resume to maximize your chances of getting past the ATS.
But hiring managers are going to be suspicious if they see a resume that’s too perfect.
And even if you make it through to the interview, expect to be pressed with some tough questions about your skills.
Stick to the abilities and qualifications you actually have. Adding skills you lack will waste everyone’s time.
