Key Accountabilities will include, but are not limited to:
Promote a positive health and safety culture on site. Implement the project health, safety and environmental plan. Ensure the company's management system, risk assessment, procedures and SWMS reflect the requirements of current legislation and standards. Engage in risk workshops to identify, assess and determine appropriate controls for all potential risk and opportunity where required. Establish and maintain health and safety registers and wall charts and maintain health and safety files and records Assess subcontractor and suppliers ability to comply with the project and health and safety requirements Assess all potential health and safety hazards and risks and communicate to relevant parties for action. Monitor subcontractors activities against SWMS's Conduct safety inductions for all persons attending site. Conduct health and safety inspections and walks on site, communicate actions and ensure close out of actions. Record, report and investigate safety incidents and ensure corrective actions are taken Implement safe work practices and procedures Conduct tool box meetings and safety training for personnel at site and organise training for engineers and supervisors. Guide site staff in the implementation and adherance to the Health, Safety and Environment Plan Be constantly alert for any unsafe conditions and act immediately to rectify them Compile safety records and statistic for the site and submit a regular report
Requirements
Applicants must have 5+ years of experience in the UAE (preferably Contracting Engineering Industry). Candidates should have a Technical Certificate or Diploma (ITI, DAE, NEBOSH etc.) Fault-finding abilities are essential with / without reading drawings. Candidates must be able to speak, read and write in English at a satisfactory level. UAE driving license is an added advantage. Candidate on transferable visa may apply.
