Mechanical Engineer / Senior Technician Kitchen Equipment

To carry out maintenance of all mechanical another related equipment and to assist kitchen and laundry mechanic. To perform all sheet metal work and gas welding work. Attend all complaints regarding breakdown or malfunctioning of equipment and machinery. Work in different shift duty as required as per duty shift. Keep close track of the performance of all equipment and associated machinery.Replace the duty of kitchen mechanic/laundry technician and others when need arises of their absence.  Make sure that the materials and parts needed to perform jobs are available and ordered timely. Follow up all jobs related to outside contractors for timely completion.  Participate and ensure complete success of preventive maintenance program and to work very closely with other engineering staff. Maintain logged records of all equipment as directed by the assistant engineering manager.  Maintain engineering area is safe, kept clean and in an orderly manner. Keep close coordination with other engineering staff for smooth operation. Participate in departmental meetings and training etc. Assist in energy conservation programme. To attend all safety and fire training and adhere to safety instructions at work to prevent any accidents. Document all work performed and any spares used. Carry out any requests asked of you by your immediate supervisor.  Take active role in the TQM process. Accident prevention and safety to be aware of all existing departmental job safety analysis and to strive to work in an accident free manner and to create a safe working environment for himself and for others.  
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineer preferred or any Engineering courses acceptable. Preferably from East Europe Nationals such as Romania, Hungary, Poland and Ukraine but not necessary. Min. 3-5 years of relevant experience in Kitchen Equipment a must. Good Communication and technical skills. Knowledge of required computer applications. Able to converse in written and spoken English.
