Essential job functions of video team leader/ video champion: 1. Depending on the initiative, editor will be involved in creating the narrative, structure and tone of the video, he may be given creative freedom or be required just for editing purposes.
2. Filming presenters and producing short 1-2 min news video clips.
3. Ability to mix in house filming with website screenshots, stock images, all edited together quickly to produce short, interesting news videos.
4. Besides filming raw footage, the video editor is also responsible for assembling recorded raw material into a finished product suitable to be published online. The material may consist of camera footage, dialogue, sound effects, graphics and special effects.
5. Be responsible for ensuring all videos has been correctly distributed/ exported to numerous external channels.
6. Be tasked with managing and reporting on how videos are performing on our major social media platforms, developing and implementing content and engagement plans to help deliver growing and active communities.
7. Branded content: creation of paid for branded video content, in close collaboration with dms sales, editors and advertisers.
8. Additional tasks may include:
•consulting with the web site editors, advertisers throughout the post production process;
•experimenting with styles and techniques including the design of graphic elements;
•suggesting or selecting music;
•dealing with freelancers, if needed
